Steps to wrap zongzi:
1. First of all, wash the zongzi leaves bought from the market with clear water, put them in a pot and cook them for a while, and then they can be used when they are soft.
2. Wash the glutinous rice with clear water several times and soak it for about 5 hours.
3. Then fold the cooked leaves into barrels.
4. Then put the soaked glutinous rice into the leaves of Zongzi and add the stuffing.
5. Fold the leaves and wrap the glutinous rice.
6. Tie it with cotton rope.
There are many kinds of zongzi. Judging from the stuffing, there are Beijing jujube zongzi wrapped in dates in the north. In the south, there are many kinds of fillings, such as mung bean, pork belly, red bean paste, eight treasures, ham, mushrooms, egg yolk and so on.
