? King suddhodana, the leader of the Carpilowei Kingdom, and his wife, Mrs. Moyev, were deeply in love, but they didn't have children for many years. It was not until middle age that Mrs. Moyev got pregnant. On the way back to her mother's home, she gave birth to a son named Siddhartha Gautama under the carefree tree in Lumbini Garden. According to legend, Mrs. Moyev dreamed that a white elephant was pregnant in her arms. When Siddhartha Gautama was born, she was able to walk and said, "I am the only one in the world." Two springs came down from the sky, one cool and the other warm, to wash her body. All kinds of legends prove that Siddhartha Gautama is not an ordinary royal family and will become a saint.
? Apart from his mother's death seven days after his birth, Siddhartha Gautama's life was not full of twists and turns. Bo Bo Bo Ti took the place of Mrs. Moyev to care for him. At the age of 17, he married Ya?odharā, the daughter of the Lord of Tianwan City, and gave birth to his son Luo Luo.
? At this time, Siddhartha Gautama lived a very rich, comfortable, honorable and comfortable life, accompanied by his wife and son. This life was perfect, but he was deeply troubled.
? It originated from his trip outside the palace by chance.
? He came to the east gate and saw an old, weak and slow-moving man, like a withered leaf in the wind, with no vitality. He was shocked that people would be so miserable when they were old.
? When he came to the south gate, he saw a man who was sallow and emaciated by illness, and he was groaning helplessly. He felt that the suffering brought by the disease was too unfortunate.
? He came to the west gate and saw a cold and stiff corpse lying on a hearse, surrounded by his family, and kept crying. He felt the terrible death, and a person disappeared from the world like this and never came back.
? When he came to the north gate, he saw a monk look calm and serene, as if the pain of the world had nothing to do with him. He felt that this was the ideal state of life and decided to become a monk.
? King suddhodana opposed Aiko becoming a monk and advised him to give up his thoughts. Siddhartha Gautama said, "As long as four wishes are fulfilled, you can not become a monk."
? These four wishes are: people are not old, sick, immortal, and everything in the world is not damaged or destroyed.
? Obviously, this will never be realized. King suddhodana chose many beautiful women to accompany his son in order to make him give up becoming a monk, but in Siddhartha Gautama's eyes, beautiful women like flowers are just floating clouds.
? Siddhartha Gautama gave up the throne, left his father, wife and son, left the comfortable life of the palace, stepped into Buddhism and began the life of an ascetic monk. During his practice, he was called Sakyamuni by later generations.
? No one understands why he gave up superior and comfortable material conditions, noble status, and family happiness, which is what many people want.
When he came to the King's Shecheng, the whirling king heard his story, met him personally and expressed his doubts: "There are no royal nobles who have become monks, but they are not as young and strong as you. Are you dissatisfied with life?" Did you run away from home because you couldn't succeed to the throne immediately? If so, I can give you half of my country, even if I give it all to you and let me be your minister, I am willing. "
Sakyamuni replied that he thought that wealth, power and money were fleeting, and endless desires would only bring pain to people. Since no one can escape from birth, illness and death, he will inevitably become a slave to desires, so we should look for the meaning of life from the spiritual aspect.
It dawned on the swaying king that he was very grateful for Sakyamuni's words, and he also converted to Buddhism in the future.
After six years of extremely difficult practice, Sakyamuni gave up this extreme way, regained his physical strength, became a Buddha, and overcame all kinds of earthly desires in his heart one by one. After sitting quietly for a month, he began to talk about it everywhere. Many people chose to convert to Buddhism after listening to it, and his sons and family members also became monks.
After experiencing internal division, disciple's death, and the annexation of the Sakyamuni people, Sakyamuni returned to the kingdom of Kapilowei and died on the way.
This story is not to say that everyone must get rid of the emotional and material ties of the world and choose to escape into an empty door, but to keep a pure land inside, put aside the noise of the outside world for the time being and ask themselves what is really meaningful.
Sakyamuni's life, the interpretation is such a truth, the throne and power will disappear, relatives and lovers will die, wealth brings more distress than happiness, life is short and fragile, and only human thoughts can transcend time and space and be handed down for thousands of years.
