The Napoleon cat is an emerging breed in the cat family, and has to have more variations in appearance than those very stable old breeds. Napoleon cats should ideally retain the round face like Persian cats, but the collapsed nose that may cause breathing problems should be avoided as much as possible; similarly, the typical long-haired characteristics of Persian cats should ideally not be manifested in Napoleon cats as too long body hair, otherwise it will bring trouble to the management of the merkanser [1].

The sturdy, short-statured Napoleon cat is a hybrid cat breed, and people deliberately bred the breed to combine the very short limbs of the McKenzie with the luxurious coat of the Persian. Napoleon cats are also available in accent color coat varieties and short haired varieties. Despite its low stature, this cat is very active and full of personality. The genetic influence of the Persian cat makes the Napoleon cat like to spend its time like a prone lap cat, not overly demanding but still willing people to be considerate of it [3].
