Because the new national standard for milk powder will not be formally implemented until February 22, 2023, which is equivalent to a two-year "buffer period" for companies to change their formulas.
According to the NHRC, food production and management units are allowed and encouraged to follow this standard. After the implementation date of the series of standards, food production and management units, food safety regulatory bodies and inspection agencies should be in accordance with the implementation of this standard. Foods that have been produced before the implementation date can continue to be sold during their shelf life.
If your baby is currently drinking milk powder, some of the nutrient content does not meet the requirements of the new standard, there is no need to rush to change the milk powder. As long as the baby is accustomed to drink, the growth and development of the indicators can be normal.
