2. Planting method
About how to plant lotus, there are seed sowing and underground stem propagation. The survival rate of seeding seedlings is low and the growth cycle is long. Generally, the underground stem of lotus is divided into blocks, and there should be 2 ~ 3 buds on each underground stem.
3. Turn over the ground and apply fertilizer
Yanghe should be planted on sandy soil with high terrain, and it is not easy to accumulate water, because the roots of Yanghe are not tolerant to waterlogging. Before planting, the soil should be turned to a depth of about 30 ~ 40 cm, and then phosphorus and potassium fertilizer should be applied as the base fertilizer in the planting pits, and the planting pits should be spaced at a certain distance.
4. Plant underground
Bury the underground stem of Yanghe in the soil. If it doesn't rain for a short time, you can water it once, and it will germinate in late spring. During this period, pay attention to cleaning up weeds, and wait until weeds germinate before topdressing for the first time. When the leaves come out in May and June, topdressing the water-soluble fertilizer once, and topdressing it for the third time at the end of June when flowering.
5. Irrigation and watering
If it doesn't rain for a long time after July, it is necessary to replenish water in time, otherwise the lotus will dry up easily and the irrigation amount cannot be too large. Lotus is a succulent stem, which is not tolerant to waterlogging. In case of rainy season, drainage should also be done well. Generally, the planting area is high in terrain and difficult to accumulate water.
