Liriodendron and North American Liriodendron both have lab coat or goose paw shaped leaves, but the leaves of Liriodendron are more workmanlike, with a smooth, loveless cuff; while the leaves of North American Liriodendron are rougher, with a lobe in the cuff, more like a goose paw.

2, flower color is different. Liriodendron and North American rowan flowers have nine petals, cup-shaped, three pieces of the outer wheel are green. However, the six petals of the inner whorl of the rowan are dark green and have yellow stripes; while the six petals of the inner whorl of the North American rowan are gray-green and have yellow bands at the base.
