Jiang Dawei, born in Heping District, Tianjin on January 22, 1947, is a Chinese tenor singer. He is a national actor, recipient of the State Council Special Allowance, and a member of the Chinese Musicians Association.
Jiang Dawei became famous with the song "Red Peony" in 1980. 1985, Jiang Dawei was the director of the Central Nationalities Song and Dance Troupe. 1986, he sang "Where the Peach Blossom Blossoms Bloom" at the Spring Festival Gala, which was well known to the audience. 1989, he was awarded the first China Golden Record Award, and 2006, he served as a member of the 8th Standing Committee of the former National Federation of Literature and Art.
