Equipment items

There are a lot of outdoor equipment, not to mention me, even the merchants who specialize in outdoor equipment can't tell the whole story. I'm not an equipment theorist. I have always advocated that the more equipment, the newer and higher the technology, the better. Instead, it should be prepared according to personal habits and regular routes, as long as it is practical enough (this is also considered from an economic point of view). What is practical and sufficient is actually a matter of different opinions. But in general, the equipment is mainly to give you the greatest safety and comfort outdoors, so basic and suitable outdoor equipment is absolutely necessary.

First, shoes:

A pair of suitable shoes can give the best protection to users' feet outdoors. In the jungle, the most suitable is professional jungle boots (isn't this nonsense? )。 But whether professional or not, the overall requirements for choosing shoes are as follows:

Big shading: this kind of sole has good grip on the ground and is not easy to slip in steep places;

Thick soles: to prevent being pierced by plants in the jungle, and also to protect the soles of the feet when marching on hard roads (of course, the word "thick" means moderate. If anyone thinks the thicker the better, I will definitely kick him down the mountain in a platform shoes.

High-top: can effectively protect the ankle;

Hard help: can avoid being crushed by rolling stones to the maximum extent;

Big one. Such shoes won't make your toes suffer when you go downhill.

In addition, it is best to have upward shoes when going up, but professional upward shoes are too expensive, and not everyone will have them. I'm used to using military glue instead of upstream shoes. It's just a matter of habit. I don't know if it can be counted as experience (another reason is that military glue is cheap and it doesn't hurt when entering water).

Second, the backpack

Backpacks come in different sizes. You can choose different bags according to different requirements. I don't need to say more about this. There is only one principle for choosing a backpack, that is, it is best to use a professional backpack (not too expensive).

Professional backpacks generally have advantages that ordinary leisure bags do not have:

Waterproof: the outer coating of general professional bags has certain waterproof function, which can prevent the things in your bags from being soaked by general rain;

Ergonomic backpack system and backpack shoulder strap: don't underestimate it. You can walk ten kilometers with your bag on your back and know why I want it (although I am not an equipment theorist);

The most important point: professional backpacks also have chest straps and abdominal straps, which makes your backpack have a function that most people have never thought of, that is, it plays the role of a safety belt. When climbing, the protector usually grabs the backpack of the protected person for protection. Imagine, if the backpack has no chest belt and abdomen belt, how big is the safety factor?

Third, the sun hat

Don't think that the sun hat only plays the role of shading. If I say that the sun hat can relieve fatigue, will someone say that I am sick? In fact, 60% of people's calorie consumption is through the top of their heads. A suitable sun hat can effectively reduce heat consumption, thus reducing fatigue. In addition, in the jungle, sun hats (especially those with big eaves) can also prevent insects and toxic plant debris from falling into the neck or face.

Fourth, towels

The function is very simple, wiping sweat, taking a bath and washing your face. If you accidentally get hurt, the towel can also be used as a temporary bandage.

Five, gloves

No one who walks through the jungle will doubt the function of gloves;

Six, outdoor knife

The outdoor knife mentioned here mainly refers to a multifunctional saber or a short knife, preferably one-handed;

Seven, the compass

Not everyone can use it professionally, but it should not be a problem to look at the east, west, north and south;

Eight, waterproof bag

Naturally, it is used for precious materials such as mobile phones. But there are several functions that few people would think of: you can also make pillows, buckets, and even find several waterproof bags to form a floating raft;

Nine, kettle, headlight or flashlight, survival whistle, lighter, hang up quickly.

Do I need to say more about the roles of these people?

Material goods

It's a bit complicated to say that materials are different because different activities have different requirements for materials, so I don't know where to start, but one thing to remember is that we are playing outdoors, not for survival, so we must prepare materials with energy. How's this? Let me start with the standing supplies in my backpack.

First aid medicine bag

Always in the bag:

1, gastrointestinal drugs: outdoors, because the sanitary conditions are not as good as at home, gastrointestinal discomfort is most likely to occur;

2, trauma drugs: mainly hemostatic stickers, two "adrenaline" (from hemostatic drugs, the most useful in the case of serious bleeding in the wound) will be prepared when playing hard before;

3, antibiotics: basically never used at present, prepared;

4. Ji Desheng Snake Medicine: Hey, I'm not only afraid of snake bites, but also afraid of bee and ant bites. It seems that I am afraid of death;

5. Wind Oil Essence: Everyone knows how to use it, but there is another use that you may not know, that is, it is used as mosquito repellent;

6, ten drops of water: something with a strange taste, but the first choice for heatstroke prevention;

7. Water purification tablets: It depends.

Second, personal compressed biscuits

I can always find a pack of four dollars in my bag, which is a life-saving thing. If it is extremely difficult, you can let me live for a week;

Third, some chocolate.

Needless to say, right?

Fourth, a bottle of Erguotou.

Erguotou is hard liquor. The original intention of taking it up the mountain is actually because it can keep out the cold, make a fire and disinfect the wound with alcohol. It's just that I'm lucky. I can't make the best use of it every time I take it up the mountain. When I finally retreat, I don't want to take it home, so I have to drink it. In the long run, I am called an "alcoholic" by my brothers, which is really more unfair than Dou E! ! !

Five, one liter of water

In addition to the distributable drinking water, I often let myself bring an extra liter of water, which is not interesting. I am a water ghost, and I consume a lot of water, so I came prepared.

Six, salt or mustard tuber

Mainly used to supplement salt. Adding a small amount of salt to fresh water can quench thirst. If it's too much trouble to bring salt, bring one or two packets of Wujiang mustard tuber. This is good stuff.

Seven, a small bar of soap

In addition to washing things, soapy water can be used as a temporary therapeutic agent when it is bitten by snakes, bees, stings and ants and there is no suitable medicine at hand. In addition, if soapy water (especially sulfur-containing) is sprinkled around the camp when camping, its smell can effectively drive away wild animals and snakes (unexpected! )。

Personal article

This article should be said to be the focus of the full text. I hope everyone who plays outdoors or wants to play outdoors can see it. What I said may not be all right, but at least I can give you an understanding.

First, why play outdoors?

Before going outdoors, I hope everyone will think about a question: Why do you want to play outdoors?

Personally, I think that playing outdoors is for health and happiness, pursuing spiritual relaxation and harmony with nature, not for becoming a conquering hero (only senior patients in mental hospitals think they can conquer nature), and I hope everyone can accept it. Based on this idea, I advocate that when playing outdoors, we should do what we can and judge the situation. There is absolutely no need to take risks that we shouldn't take. No outdoor person who has an accident or adventure is regarded as a hero, and no outdoor person who knows how to give up is regarded as a coward. Although playing outdoors is not absolutely safe, you should try your best to minimize the foreseeable danger. Imagine, if you lose your life and health, is it still meaningful to play outdoors? If you take adventure as an outdoor spirit and always play outdoors with the mentality of being an outdoor hero, I will advise him to stay away from the outdoors.

It is not hard to play outdoors, and safety is always the first-this is the first concept that outdoor people should have.

Second, personal assessment before participating in the activity

Not all activities are suitable for everyone, and no one will object to this estimate. Therefore, before taking part in an activity, it is absolutely necessary for participants to evaluate their own abilities, read the organizer's instructions carefully, understand the difficulty level and equipment requirements of the activity, and determine whether they are suitable for participation. Because "do what you can" is one of the outdoor principles.

Third, personal qualities when participating in activities.

1, Discipline: Without rules, there would be no Fiona Fang. This sentence is also applicable when used outdoors. When going outdoors, there is usually a team, but the team has rules and discipline, so whether it is disciplined or not is one of the most important qualities of outdoor people. Imagine that when you are outdoors, you are a whole, and no one can be fooled like a monkey who has dropped a rope. People who do this can only bring trouble to the team and even put the team in danger. I'm afraid no team is willing to bring such a person;

2. Team spirit: When facing nature outdoors, people are small, so it is particularly important for team members to cooperate with each other to overcome difficulties, which is the attraction of outdoor activities;

3. Environmental awareness: All outdoor people love nature, and only in this way can they form a harmonious relationship with nature. When it comes to environmental awareness, it means not only not littering, but also paying attention to protecting the ecology, such as not picking and cutting at will, and not hurting animals in the mountains (you know, many places we walk belong to protected areas, and we can't do things that disrupt the ecological balance).

Fourth, personal outdoor skills.

1, don't run in a hurry from the beginning: everyone needs an adaptation process in sports, so don't run in a hurry from the beginning, but walk slowly from the beginning, so that you can effectively control your physical fitness. After walking slowly for half an hour, your body has an adaptation process to the amount of exercise, and it can only be accelerated after functional adjustment;

2. Control of marching rhythm: Everyone has his own marching speed rhythm, so when marching on the mountain road, don't just follow the rhythm of the person in front, which is easy to be dragged across. You must walk at your own pace. If you walk too slowly and leave the team too far, you can call a brigade, etc.

3, terrain observation: In the process of marching, don't blindly bury yourself in madness, but observe the surrounding scenery to know where you are. This is necessary. If you get separated from your teammates, you can clearly report your position;

4, hydrating skills: Generally speaking, during the journey, every fifteen to twenty minutes, you must replenish yourself with water. Don't wait until you are obviously thirsty, because when you are obviously thirsty, you are not thirsty, but your body is slightly dehydrated. Replenishing water at this time will only make you thirsty; In addition, there is the skill of timely hydration, that is, it is limited to two small mouths. Don't swallow every sip of water immediately, but keep it in your mouth for a while before swallowing it, so that the water can be absorbed more fully by your body.

5. Woodland marching skills: In the mountains of Huizhou, the most common plants are actually shrubs. When walking in the bushes, pay attention to raising your feet to prevent tripping; Hold your arms high and cover them at the same height as your eyes to prevent your face, especially your eyes, from being caught by the branches in front; Eyes should pay more attention to their own pace to prevent stepping on the trap set by snakes or mountain people;

6. Climbing steep slope skills: lean forward with your center of gravity, make full use of the surrounding trees and vegetation, and pay attention to whether there are loose stones under your feet or above. If you find such a stone, you should call the police immediately. Don't hurt yourself or your teammates below because the stone is stepped on.

7. Skills of descending steep slopes: When descending steep slopes, pay attention to the rear of the body's center of gravity, walk sideways, and make full use of surrounding trees and vegetation for protection. If necessary, "butt on the ground" with hips as the support point and move down (this is normal outdoors, and no one will laugh at you);

8. Stone Beach Skills: In the valley, the most common road is the stone beach. Walking on the stone beach, it is inevitable to jump over the stone, while jumping over the stone, I personally choose stones with similar heights to jump over, and pay attention to "taking one step and thinking two steps", that is, when taking the first step, I will look at the position and state of the second stone and consider the position of the third stone I want to jump over after the second stone; In addition, pay attention to whether the stone under your feet will be loose and whether there are water marks and moss on the stone to prevent accidents; If you encounter a relatively high rock, don't jump from a height (because it is too dangerous and often jumps from a height, especially after a long journey, the impact on your knees is enough to cause irreversible strain), but walk in a downward posture (to be honest, I saw a photo uploaded by a team, jumping from a high rock like a "big bird spreading its wings", and I didn't shake my head and say childish.

9. Wading skills: In the valley, wading is essential. The essentials of wading are "low center of gravity, open arms, and hard feet". "Low center of gravity" is to stand more stably, "spread your arms" is to balance, and "push your feet hard" is to understand the underwater situation more clearly, requiring your feet to stick to the bottom of the water in a broken way.

10, cliff climbing skills: If I face a relatively high and slippery cliff, I will definitely choose high winding without auxiliary tools. But if the cliff is not slippery and there are obvious rock cracks, you will still choose to climb it. However, when climbing a cliff, we should pay attention to "steady three points and move a little", that is, when all limbs can be steady, we can move one point and get as close as possible to the cliff; Hand movements are very important. Try to hold on to the rock point or crevice, or grasp the plant roots on the cliff, but remember, don't put all your weight on this point until you are sure that the rock point or plant roots are strong enough to bear your own weight.
