Many cruciferous plants other than brassica can be utilized as rapeseed genetic resources. Therefore, the genetic resources of rapeseed wild relatives can be divided into Brassicaceae wild relatives, Brassicaceae wild relatives and Brassica wild relatives.

There are plants in each of the above groups It can be used as genetic resources of rapeseed relatives, among which the most utilized plants are Brassica plants and Arabidopsis thaliana (or Myotis) in the Arabidopsis family. Arabidopsis has been selected as a model plant for plant genomics research.
