The Tang Materia Medica: "This thing, originally from Goryeo, now out of Liangzhou, Brazil, in the shape of Tianxiong". The Sea Drugs Materia Medica: "seedlings and epiphyllum similar". The Compendium of Materia Medica says: "White aconite is a medicine of Yangming Jing, and it gets this name because it is similar to aconite. It is no longer included. Subsequent editions of the Pharmacopoeia listed only Bai Fu Zi, and Yu Bai Fu was no longer listed in parentheses.
