Introduction of Russian anthrax virus:
Anthrax is an acute infectious disease caused by Bacillus anthracis. People are infected by contact with sick animals and their products and eating the meat of sick animals. Clinically, the main manifestations are skin necrosis, ulcer, extensive edema and toxemia of eschar and surrounding tissues, and hemorrhagic infiltration of subcutaneous and subserous connective tissue.
Poor blood coagulation, coal tar-like, can occasionally cause acute infection of lung, intestine and meninges, and may be accompanied by sepsis. Under natural conditions, herbivores are the most susceptible, while humans are moderately sensitive, mainly occurring in people who have more contact with animals and animal products processing and eat sick animal meat by mistake.
Diagnosis of anthrax virus:
Patients such as farmers and herdsmen who have frequent contact with cattle, horses and sheep, workers who work in fur with spore dust, and workers in leather processing factories have important reference value for the diagnosis of this disease. Skin anthrax has certain characteristics, and it is generally not difficult to make a diagnosis. The diagnosis depends on the smear examination and culture of various secretions, excreta, blood and cerebrospinal fluid.
Smear examination is the easiest. If a typical Escherichia coli with capsule is found, the diagnosis can be basically established. Fluorescent antibody staining, bead wet test, specific phage test and animal inoculation can further establish the diagnosis.
