The development of history
Youyu County was called Shanyuan County in ancient times. According to the General Situation of Shanxi, Shanyuan County in Qin Dynasty belongs to Yanmen County. Qin system was adopted in the Western Han Dynasty, and after Yanmen County moved south in the Eastern Han Dynasty, it was ruled by Dingxiang County. At the end of the Han Dynasty, all counties were abolished, and Shanyuan County was re-established in the Northern Wei Dynasty, which was later abolished. After the Tang Dynasty, it was the seat of Yunzhong County. In the 25th year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty, a border guard was established, and in the 7th year of Yongle (AD 909), Yulin Wei outside the border guard was merged into Youwei, renamed as You Yulin Wei, and belonged to Datong Prefecture. You Yu Wei was given the title in the early Qing Dynasty, and in the third year of Yongzheng (A.D. 1725), it was promoted to county called Youyu County, and it was returned to Shuoping House, where Youyu was located. In the first year of the Republic of China (A.D. 19 12), the abandoned government stayed in the county and returned to Yanbei Road.
