The Palace Museum encourages visitors to purchase tickets for the Palace Museum through the online pre-sale system. At this stage, on-site ticket sales have not been completely cancelled, and some on-site ticket sales windows will be retained. Those who have not booked tickets through the Internet will also sell tickets in real-name registration system on the spot with their ID cards/passports.

Instructions for purchasing tickets at the Palace Museum:

1, tickets will be sold in advance 10 days until they are sold out.

2. Tickets for the Forbidden City are purchased in real-name registration system, and all tourists need to enter their ID cards or passport information before booking tickets.

3. Each certificate (ID card/passport) is entitled to one ticket per admission day.

4. If you need an invoice, please fill in the invoice in the order form and bring the relevant documents to the "comprehensive service window" on the east side of the ticket gate to collect it.

5. If the pre-sale tickets are not used, you can apply for refund or change on this platform before 20: 00 pm on the day of the scheduled visit. If you exceed the time limit, you can't refund or change your ticket. You can only choose the date, not the afternoon. Refund will be implemented within 5 days after your scheduled admission date.
