Date peaches are not genetically modified products. Genetically modified products refers to the use of genetically modified organisms obtained by the use of genetically modified organisms technology, and the genetically modified organisms as direct food or as raw materials for the processing of food production is called genetically modified food.

Based on the different sources of genetically modified food can be divided into plant-based genetically modified food, animal-based genetically modified food and microbial genetically modified food. Currently, plant-based genetically modified foods are the main source of genetically modified foods, and according to data released by the International Service for the Acquisition of Agri-biotech Applications (ISAAA), there are more and more varieties of commercially grown crops.
