Misgurnus anguillicaudatus can survive for 4 ~ 6 years in the wild environment, with strong adaptability and long life. The individual life span of loach can reach 10 years. The cultured loach is edible, and it can be caught and marketed in May-June by artificial breeding.

In the process of loach culture, the transparency of water body should be kept at about 15 to 20 cm, and aerobic equipment should be put in the pool water to provide sufficient oxygen. If the loach is found dead, it should be cleaned up in time.
