30 minutes is enough.
The specific process is as follows:
1. Take an appropriate amount of bird's nest
2. Prepare a large enough container, put in the bird's nest, pour in water and soak for 3-8 hours (the container is preferred to be glass/ceramic and cannot be oily; mineral water is preferred, you can't soak in tap water)
3. Soak well and then slice it according to the fibers, and use tweezers to pick the fine hairs
4. Filter the fresh water 2~3 times
5. Add appropriate amount of water into the stewing compartment (the amount of water submerged over the bird's nest is preferred), and simmer for about 20-30 minutes, during which time, use chopsticks to gently stir the bird's nest once, so that the bird's nest is evenly heated.
6. After stewing, add appropriate amount of rock sugar and serve.
Note: 1. When the stewing pot is placed in the water pot for stewing, the water pot should be filled with enough water, but the water level should be lower than the mouth of the container; 2. During the stewing process, the stewing pot and the water pot need to be covered tightly with a lid, so that there is no leakage of air; 3. There should not be any water cut off from the water pot, and the water must be replenished with boiled water in time when there is not enough water.
