Morphological characteristics of perennial erect herbs, 30 ~ 80 cm high. The whole plant is densely yellow-white pilose and glandular hairy. Roots are cylindrical, fleshy and multi-branched. When fresh, the surface is brownish red, the cross section is white and gradually pink, and when dry, it is brownish red or dark brownish red. The stem is square with longitudinal grooves. Leaves opposite, odd pinnate compound leaves, leaflets usually 3 ~ 5; Leaflets are ovoid, elliptic-ovate or broadly lanceolate, with sharp apex, round base, sparse hairs on both sides, dense abaxial surface of leaves, and crenate edges. It blooms from April to August, with purple-blue flowers arranged in racemes, born at the top of branches or axils of leaves, and bears fruit from May to September, with oval and black fruits. Dig roots and dry them in spring and autumn.
The growing environment is distributed in the middle and south. Most of them are born in sunny slopes, grasslands, ditches and wet places along the road.

Indications: neurasthenia. The second prescription: Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae 30g, Flos Lonicerae 30g, Rhizoma Smilacis Glabrae 30g, Radix Paeoniae Rubra 30g, Radix Angelicae Sinensis 15g, and Rhizoma Chuanxiong 15g.

Indications: insomnia and heartbeat. Eighth party: Danshen.
Usage: Take the medicine, dry it in the sun, break it into fine powder, and soak it in 55% Chinese liquor for half a month to prepare 5% ~ 10% Baihua Danshen wine. Or take medicine and drink until you get drunk.
