Entering Wu at night with cold rain and heavy rain,

I see off my guests in the clearing day.
Relatives and friends in Luoyang ask each other,
A heart of ice is in a jade pot.

① Furong Tower: the city tower of Runzhou (now Zhenjiang, Jiangsu).
②Xin Jian: a friend of the poet.
③Wu: The state of Wu during the Three Kingdoms period was in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, so Cheng's generation was called Wu.
④Civilian: Early morning.
⑤Chu Mountain: The Chu State in the Spring and Autumn Period was in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, so this generation of mountains is called Chu Mountain.
⑥A piece of ice in a jade pot: Ice in a jade pot, a metaphor for a person's integrity. Bing Xin: a metaphor for the purity of heart.
