Chinese civet cats (details)
The incident of cat fracture is very obvious in the major pet hospitals, resulting in cat fracture for a number of reasons such as: living in a high-rise cat jumping out of the building when the heat escape or naughty cats jumping up and down accidentally fell to the fracture, etc., encountered in this case, I recommend the first time to send to the hospital, if there is no nearby veterinary hospitals, then the parents should
1. Determine the location of the fracture; if the cat is not traumatized, you can gently lower the injured cat down and gently touch it from the spine to the limbs, and if you touch the fracture location the cat will usually scream.
2. Splinting (fixing the fracture); Splinting (fixing the fracture) is the key to the success or failure of treating cat's fracture, if you can't do the splinting by yourself, it's best to go to ask for help from someone with experience, and generally even in the countryside, you can find a therapist's splinting division that can be called upon to help.
3. Fixation; first apply Yunnan Baiyao to the injured area, wrap the fracture area tightly with sterilized gauze, but be careful not to strangle it in case the cat's blood flow is poor, and it can be wrapped around for about 5 turns. Then look for a board that fits the length and size of the cat's injury, and wrap the gauze tightly around the fracture site so that the cat's fracture site cannot move or bend.
4. Inject or take anti-inflammatory medication; after fixing the injury, you need to inject or take anti-inflammatory medication regularly to avoid cat fever and wound infection and inflammation.
5. Post-fracture care; a cat with a fracture must be restricted in its activities, and a quiet and comfortable place must be chosen to allow it to rest fully. Diet should be supplemented with protein, fish is a better choice, you can cook the fish (preferably the bones can also be cooked until very soft) fed to the cat.
