Mango core planting methods: seedling treatment, substrate treatment, planting management, and post-planting management.
1. Seedling treatment
First remove the pulp from the mango core, soak it in warm water and wash it, then place it in a dry and ventilated place to dry, so that the core becomes off-white. Use scissors to cut from the edge of the core, take out the mango seeds, remove the outer film and soak them in water to remove impurities. Wait for about 4 to 7 days until the seeds begin to germinate and can be planted.
2. Substrate treatment
To plant mango cores, sandy soil rich in humus should be selected. First, sterilize the soil at high temperature and put it into the pot used for planting. Add an appropriate amount of water to keep the soil moist. Then add humus-rich organic fertilizer and superphosphate solution and mix evenly to make the soil rich in humus and maintain the advantages of good air permeability and good drainage performance.
3. Planting management
The start of planting mango cores is to bury the processed seeds in the soil, cover them with about one centimeter of soil, and water them every two to three days. Water once, maintain soil moisture, place the planting pot in a sunny place to ensure good ventilation, and perform drainage treatment in time on rainy days.
4. Post-planting management
After planting the mango seeds, ensure that the ambient temperature is around 25 degrees to promote seed germination. Wait for about 4 days for the seeds to germinate, etc. After the plant grows buds, it can be transplanted with soil. After transplanting, you need to spray a diluted urea solution to promote the growth of flowers and leaves. When the plant grows to about 10 cm, perform a topping process to help the mango grow.
