The current quality rating system for French wine was established in 1935 and has not been revised to this day.
French wine is generally divided into 4 levels-
Authorized production area (AOC): the highest level of wine;
quasi-legal production area
p>(VDQS): It is the level that common regional table wine must go through to transition to AOC level;
Very good table wine (VDP): the best wine among daily table wines;
Daily Table Wine
(VDT): It is the lowest-end wine for daily drinking.
