CURCUMAE? LONGAE? RHIZOMA
17.2 source this product is the dried rhizome of Curcuma longa L. of Zingiberaceae. When the stems and leaves wither in winter, dig, wash, cook or steam until they penetrate the heart, dry in the sun, and remove the fibrous roots.
17.3 characteristics this product is irregular oval, cylindrical or spindle-shaped, often curved, and some have short fork branches, 2 ~ 5 cm long and1~ 3 cm in diameter. The surface is dark yellow, rough, with shriveled texture and obvious links, and there are circular branch marks and fibrous root marks. Solid, not easy to break, brown-yellow to golden-yellow cross-section, horny, waxy luster, obvious ring pattern of inner cortex, and dotted vascular bundles. The smell is unique, and the taste is bitter and pungent.
17.4 Identification (1) Cross section of this product: epidermal cells are flat and thin. The cortex is broad and has vascular bundles with leaves; There are 6 ~ 8 rows of cork cells near the epidermis, which are flat; The Kjeldahl point of endodermis cells is obvious. The stele sheath is1~ 2 rows of parenchyma cells; The vascular bundle is tough outside, scattered, more near the pericycle sheath, and gradually decreases inward. The parenchyma cells contain oil droplets, starch granules and red-brown pigment.
(2) Take 0.2g of this product powder, add 20ml of anhydrous ethanol, shake it, leave it for 30min, filter it, evaporate the filtrate, and add 2ml of anhydrous ethanol to dissolve the residue, which will be used as the test solution. Another control medicinal material, Curcuma longa, was prepared into control medicinal material solution by the same method. Then take the curcumin reference substance, add absolute ethanol to make a solution containing 0.5mg per kloc-0/ml as the reference substance solution. According to the thin layer chromatography (Appendix ⅵ b) test, absorb 4? L, respectively, on the same silica gel G thin-layer plate, with chloroform, methanol and formic acid (96: 4: 0.7) as developing agent, unfolded, taken out, dried, and examined under sunlight and ultraviolet light (365nm) respectively. In the chromatogram of the test sample, spots with the same color and fluorescent spots are respectively displayed at the positions corresponding to the chromatogram of the reference medicinal materials and the chromatogram of the reference substance.
