Habitat distribution

Shade-loving, can not be strong direct light, like scattered light or reflected light, high requirements for humidity, should not be too dry or too wet. There are also requirements for air humidity, leathery leaves. Born in wetlands under dense forests, rock crevices in stream valleys, or thickets, up to 1000 m above sea level. Distributed in S Taiwan and S Yunnan (Menghai), especially common on Hainan Island; also in other parts of tropical Asia.
