Things to open a beer cap without a bottle opener are hard metal objects such as keys and spoons, lighters, lipsticks and other angular and sturdy items, another bottle, door frames, and paper.
1. Hard metal objects such as keys and spoons
Hold the head of the key against the underside of the bottle cap with your dominant hand, then turn the key upward to twist the cap loose. You may need to rotate the bottle a bit, then repeat this until the cap falls off completely.
2. Lighters, lipsticks, and other sturdy objects
Hold the beer bottle at the neck with one hand, leaving just enough room to place the lighter between the cap and your index finger holding the bottle. Now use your other hand to push up from the other end of the lighter until the cap comes loose and falls off.
3. The other bottle
Although this may seem like an old-fashioned method, it does work. All it takes is a little know-how: flip the first bottle upside down and use the edge of its cap to pull off the cap of another bottle. Hold both bottles firmly and smoothly.
4. Doorframe
You'll need to tilt the beer bottle a little to work with this. Snap the edge of the bottle cap against the edge of the door frame and apply pressure at the correct angle so that the cap is pried open with leverage.
5. Paper
It may sound a bit hard to believe, but it does work. Fold your paper several times (so that it's got with enough thickness) and then place it under the cap to pry it open.
