Taihu Lake is one of the five largest freshwater lakes in China. From the administrative division, it belongs to Suzhou, Wuxi and Huzhou, among which Taihu Lake in Wuxi section was first developed as a tourist attraction.

Although I live in Suzhou and have a deep love for Suzhou, I still think that at least for now, Taihu Lake in Wuxi is more beautiful than Suzhou.

Yuantouzhu is a peninsula on the northwest coast of Taihu Lake, which is named after its huge stones protruding from the lake look like glans. Yun (pronounced yuán) means tortoise. As one of the most famous scenic spots in Wuxi, it can be exaggerated to say that you can really visit Taihu Lake only when you get to Yuanyuanzhu in Wuxi.

The source pearl scenic spot is very large, including Ying Hui in Luding, Chuntao in yunzhu, Guangfu Temple, Xiandao in Taihu Lake, Orchid Garden in the south of the Yangtze River, Sakura Valley and many other landscapes. If you want to visit carefully, it will take at least a whole day, which will test the physical strength of tourists.

This is my second visit to the round-headed bamboo. The last time was last spring. I still remember that the scenic spot was full of fantastic Lu, just as beautiful as entering a fairy tale world.

The round-headed bamboo in the golden autumn and October, although not as stunning as Lu and blurred as cherry blossoms, will never disappoint people. Even though I am used to seeing the scenery in the south of the Yangtze River, I still took pictures all the way and was amazed.

Entering from Chongshan Gate, the first thing you see is "Chongshan Hidden Show". Along the deep and winding road, you will generally pass through four scenic spots: "Spring Flower, Summer Shade, Autumn Color and Winter Scene".

But as a road idiot, I can't remember how I walked the whole course last time. After a short walk with feeling, I found that I didn't know when I had turned to the "Shilifang Path", and then I started a long hike around Luding Mountain.

Actually, my heart is a little broken. Because there are some problems in the path design around Luding Mountain, it is easy to get in but difficult to get out, so it is necessary to detour for a long time to return to the core position of the scenic spot.

Fortunately, the weather was very comfortable. Although the legs are soft, the scenery in the mountains is pleasant, the trees are green, and the sun shines through the cracks in the branches and leaves, drawing a long shadow on the ground, which is a comfort of "the mountains are as quiet as ancient times and the days are as long as small years".

Finally, I found an intersection and went down the mountain. Go down, cross a stream and come to the Sino-Japanese cherry blossom friendship forest.

In the autumn when the cherry blossoms have fallen, the branches look a little fragile. The road is paved with white sandstone, with Japanese huts on both sides. A breeze blew, as if I heard the ringing bells and the creaking of clogs.

It is conceivable that if it is the cherry blossom season, how beautiful the scenery here should be. I can't help secretly making up my mind that I must catch up with the cherry blossom season when I come to Wuxi next time.

In the whole Yuantouzhu scenic spot, my favorite is this Jiangnan Orchid Garden.

Unfortunately, Orchid Garden is charged separately, so it may be ignored by many tourists and become a "hidden attraction" of the Source Pearl.

(Note: Although Baidu Encyclopedia said that it was included in the ticket for Yuantouzhu, I paid for both trips separately, and the fare was not expensive. I can't remember the details. It should be noted that only cash is accepted, and mobile payment is not accepted. )

As one of the "four gentlemen in flowers", Lan has been highly respected by literati since ancient times. Wuxi has a long history of artistic orchids, which once prevailed among the people in the Qing Dynasty.

Orchid garden has a large number of top orchids, celebrity calligraphy and paintings and various bonsai, which is a paradise for people who like orchids. But even without special feelings for orchids, Orchid Garden is still a classic garden in the south of the Yangtze River. Beautiful and elegant, green bamboo and flowing water.

In addition to the traditional garden scenery, Lanyuan also has a unique small scene-the comprehensive control greenhouse of foliage plants. It's like a miniature tropical rain forest. Through precise temperature control, all kinds of flowers and trees flourish indoors, strolling among them, creating subtle landscapes and surprises everywhere.

If you want to directly describe the beauty of Orchid Garden, it is that no matter how many times I come, I am willing to pay for it alone.

Leaving the Orchid Garden in the south of the Yangtze River and heading northwest, we came to the shore of Taihu Lake.

The so-called "beauty of Taihu Lake" was originally the gatehouse of "Hengyun Mountain Villa", which was named after Guo Moruo's poem "The beauty of Taihu Lake is at the source after all".

However, apart from this past, there is nothing special here. If you want to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Taihu Lake, you still have to move on and look for the trace of "Nianzhu Chuntao".

Go on, and you will see a huge stone by the lake, with "Round-headed Pearl" engraved on the front and "yunzhu Spring Peach" engraved on the back. These two inscriptions were written by Qin Dunshi, a Wuxi juren, and Liu Chun Lin, the top scholar in the Guangxu period of Qing Dynasty.

It is said that because Wuxi is located on the northwest coast of Taihu Lake, there is a southeast wind in spring, and the storm in Taihu Lake is getting worse every day, especially in the area around the source, where the water potential is huge and the waves are rough, and the sound of waves is a major feature here.

It is better to enjoy the misty lake quietly than to listen to Tao. The sun has sown a Yin Hui on the lake, and several sailboats are parked in the distance. I don't know where they will sail next.

It was getting dark at this time, and we were exhausted after walking for a long time.

Next, according to the shortest route given by the navigation, we passed the "Deep Lotus", Guangfu Ancient Temple, Baoqing Building and other landscapes in turn, and finally returned to the parking lot, ending the day's tour.

If there is any experience to sum up, first, I don't want to take the Luding Mountain Ring Road in the future ... Secondly, the "Xinghualou" opposite Lanyuan, with an old-fashioned signboard, is actually particularly unpalatable. Don't be cheated.
