Fly maggots have high crude protein and crude fat content, rich in nutrients, and are ideal food for forest frogs.

The optimal environmental temperature of the fly maggot (medium temperature) for 34 ~ 40 ℃, the development period of 3 ~ 3.5 days. When the temperature is 25 ~ 30 ℃, the development period of 4 ~ 6 days; temperature of 20 ~ 25 ℃, the development period of 5 ~ 9 days; temperature of 16 ℃, the development period up to 17 ~ 19 days. The lowest developmental temperature is 8 to 12 ℃, higher than 48 ℃ will die.

1 ~ 2 age of the fly maggots suitable environmental humidity is 61% ~ 80%, the best humidity is 71% ~ 80%. 3 age of the fly maggots suitable environmental humidity is 61% ~ 70%, more than 80%, less than 40% can not be normal development, pupation is very little, and even lead to the death of the fly maggots.

The circulation of air is favorable to the growth and development of fly maggots. In the garbage, fly maggots are often distributed in the corners and roots of walls with large gaps. An exhaust fan should be installed in the breeding room, and a screen should be installed on the exhaust fan for filtration to prevent flies from escaping from the fan opening. Doors and windows should be sealed with wire mesh to prevent snakes, rats and other hostile organisms from entering the breeding room.

Fly maggots are omnivorous, preferring to eat decayed and fermented organic matter. Animal, plant feed and microbial protein, are the fly maggots like to eat the feed. 3 age fly maggots mature development is to stop eating, leave the breeding place, drilling to the nearby soil loose place pupa.

Artificial breeding mainly use livestock and poultry manure as base material, to fresh as well. Livestock and poultry manure should be fermented before use. You can use pig manure, chicken manure, tofu dregs, wheat bran, livestock and poultry scraps and other fermented to make substrate for fly maggot breeding.

You can mix the base material according to the following formulas: swine manure 80%, wheat bran 20%; swine manure 60%, chicken manure 40%; swine manure 75%, tofu dregs 25%; fresh swine manure 100%; chicken manure 50%, swine manure 25%, tofu dregs 25%. A small amount of bran may be added if the manure is too moist. It is important to have the flexibility to formulate according to the existing conditions and to see which kind of base material is easily available and low cost. Add EM live bacteria into the prepared manure, add 5 kg EM bacteria per ton, after that, cover with plastic film, turn the manure 1 time on the 3rd day, and then add 3 kg EM bacteria into the manure, so that the pH of the manure reaches 6.5 to 7. If the pH is higher than 7, add wine lees and vinegar; if it is lower than 6.5, add lime water. It can be used after 2 days of fermentation. The moisture content of the base material is about 70%, and it is suitable to be piled into a pile of 20 centimeters high without being broken or deformed.

After the base material is fermented, it can be sent into the maggot room to cultivate fly maggots. Maggot breeding room can be built in the area of 1.5 meters 2 rectangular maggot breeding pool. Fermented substrate in the pool stacked into a long strip, the thickness of 10 to 15 centimeters. Let adult flies lay eggs directly on top of the substrate, and after laying eggs, use the substrate or feed to slightly cover to avoid drying out the fly eggs. Room temperature 25 ~ 35 ℃, the egg mass after eight to ten hours after hatching into maggots, if the substrate is too dry, to sprinkle a small amount of water.
