Yuyuantan Park is a national AAAA level scenic spot, it is located in Haidian District. The east gate is adjacent to Diaoyutai State Guesthouse; west to the middle of the West Third Ring Road and the Central Television Tower across the road. The south gate is directly north of the China Millennium Forum, and the north is connected to the Naval General Hospital. The main scenic spots of the park consist of the Cherry Blossom Garden in the west, the Diversion Lake Scenic Area in the north (partially completed), Zhongshan Island in the south, and the Liuchun Garden in the east.
Yuyuantan Park has about 199,500 trees of 125 kinds, including 69 kinds of trees and 56 kinds of shrubs. The most distinctive feature of the park is the cherry blossoms, and there are nearly 20 varieties and 2,000 cherry blossoms in the park, such as Yamazakura, Oyama cherry blossoms, Aobutsu cherry blossoms, Someiyoshino, American cherry blossoms, Hangzhou early cherry blossoms, Echizuki no Hikaribi, Sikawa, Edo Hikaribi, Yaehono Oshima, and Taihaku.
