"Dida" missile, also known as "Prithvi" missile, is a long-range artillery ground-to-ground tactical missile used for battlefield support. Research and design began in the early 1980s, and/kloc-0 was successfully launched for the first time in February, 1988. The missile adopts strapdown inertial guidance mode, single-stage double-chamber engine and pre-stored liquid propellant. The missile body is made of domestic light aluminum alloy, and its range exceeds 150 km. 1989 In September, the second test was conducted at the missile test site in Orissa, western India. A warhead weighs 500 kg and has a maximum range of 150 km. The missile equipped with this warhead is called SS 150 "Dida" missile. The weight of another warhead is reduced to 250kg, and the maximum range is increased to 250km. This kind of missile is called SS250 "Dida" missile. India is also studying a missile to further increase the thrust of the engine with a maximum range of 350 kilometers. Because the range has been increased from 150 km to 350 km, the flexibility of future battlefield use has been significantly improved. Compared with the Scud of the Soviet Union and Jericho of Israel, the missile is faster, more accurate and more powerful.
