We have learned Li Dongyuan’s Zhongmanfenxiao Pills before. Li Dongyuan also has Zhongmanfenxiaotang, which he said in "The Complete Book of Medicine":
"If you eat more cold and cool foods, For people with long-term deficiency of the spleen and stomach, the stomach is full due to cold, or the accumulation of cold causes distention. Zhongmanfenxiao Decoction is the main remedy for treating cold distension. , cold hernia, inability to defecate, irritability, inability to retract the legs, reversal of limbs, regurgitated food intake, fullness in the lower part, cold in the abdomen, pimples in the heart, restlessness and coldness in the lower part, and inability to recuperate. p>
Aconite, Alisma, coptis, ginseng, green peel, angelica root, ginger, ephedra, bupleurum, dried ginger, pipe pepper (two parts each), aphrodisiac, pinellia, poria, costus, l. Ma (three points each), Astragalus, Evodia, Magnolia officinalis, Cardamom kernels, Phellodendron (five points each)."
When we saw this recipe, we felt it was more confusing. If we didn’t know that this was Li Dongyuan’s recipe, we would definitely say some unpleasant things.
It uses ginseng, coptis, dried ginger and pinellia. We cannot say that this is Banxia Xiexin Decoction, but it has the shadow of Banxia Xiexin Decoction. In Banxia Xiexin Decoction, licorice and jujube are removed, and phellodendron is used instead of scutellaria baicalensis. Magnolia Wenzhong Decoction removes orange peel and licorice (Magnolia officinalis, cardamom kernels, Poria cocos, costus, and dried ginger), Buzhong Yiqi Decoction removes orange peel, licorice, and Atractylodes. Combine these three prescriptions and add Aconite, Alisma, Qingpi, ginger, ephedra, pipe pepper, Pleurotus longifolia, and Evodia.
Buzhong Yiqi Decoction and Houpu Wenzhong Decoction are both Li Dongyuan’s own prescriptions, while Banxia Xiexin Decoction is Zhang Zhongjing’s prescription. Li Dongyuan combined these three prescriptions to make additions and subtractions. This prescription tells us that Banxia Xiexin Decoction and Buzhong Yiqi Decoction may be used together.
Let’s look at what Mr. Zhang Qi said in "Zhang Qi’s Clinical Experience Collection": In November 1989, the author was treated for nephrotic syndrome in a child in the ward, with high edema, abdominal distension and fullness, and he was not allowed to lie down. , urinary protein (++++), Chinese and Western medicine treatments were not effective, and gradually urinary obstruction and scrotal enlargement developed.
Upon further examination, he had a pale complexion, cold body and cold limbs, loose stools, a pale and smooth tongue, and a slow and slow pulse.
The syndrome differentiation is that the kidney yang is weak, cold-dampness is trapped in the spleen and stomach, and qi is stagnant and water is accumulated. It is advisable to warm the kidneys and warm the spleen and stomach, dispel cold and remove dampness, open stagnation and regulate qi, and use the upper and lower methods to eliminate.
Prescription: 15 grams of Magnolia officinalis, 10 grams of Zhichuan Wu, 10 grams of Evodia, 10 grams of ephedra, 10 grams of Chinese angelica, 7 grams of Piper longum, 7 grams of Cimicifuga, 10 grams of Bupleurum, and 7 grams of Xiang, 10 grams of dried ginger, 10 grams of cardamom, 10 grams of Codonopsis pilosula, 15 grams of Astragalus membranaceus, 10 grams of Alisma, 7 grams of Sichuan cypress, 7 grams of Sichuan cypress, 10 grams of Poria, and 10 grams of green peel. Decoct in water and take.
After taking 6 doses of the medicine, the urine output increased significantly, and the urine output was about 1500 ml in 24 hours. The abdomen was soft and the edema disappeared. After taking 12 doses with slight modifications to the original prescription, the 24-hour urine output increased to 3000 ml, the ascites disappeared, the edema all over the body basically disappeared, the urine protein decreased from (++++) to (++), the patient's diet increased, and his mental and physical strength improved. All recovered as normal and their condition was stable.
In fact, this type of disease is not a single kidney disease. Only a single prescription for treatment will often yield poor results. Even if the diagnosis is particularly accurate, the results are often poor. When a disease becomes localized, treatment is often difficult.
The symptoms we have seen from the patient include a pale complexion, cold body and cold limbs, loose stools, a light and slippery tongue, and a slow and slow pulse. If we analyze the syndrome, we may be able to identify a Zhenwu Tang Poria cocos , peony, ginger, aconite, and atractylodes. In fact, the effect of using Zhenwu Tang may not be good.
The whole symptom indicates that there is a syndrome of yin and cold, cold plus drink, cold drink. Mr. Zhang Qi uses Zang-Fu syndrome differentiation instead of the Six Meridians.
Mr. Zhang Qi also said: Zhongmanfen Xiaoyao Decoction comes from Dongyuan's "Lanshi Secret Collection". The original prescription is said to "treat hernia due to cold distension and constipation, and obstruction of defecation and defecation..." Deficiency in the lower part, fullness in the middle part, coldness in the abdomen, and pimples in the heart.”
The prescription uses Sichuan Wu, dried ginger, Evodia, peppercorns, rhizome, and komong to warm the kidneys and spleen and stomach, remove dampness and relieve depression. To dispel cold, green bark, Magnolia officinalis promotes qi and disperses qi, Cimicifuga, Bupleurum to promote clearness, Poria, Alisma dilutes and reduces turbidity, Ginseng, Astragalus replenishes qi and nourishes the middle, Acosta, Angelicae, reconciles qi and blood, Ephedra relieves lung qi, half In summer, it can dissolve phlegm and dampness, and Zuolianbai can remove dampness and stagnation of heat. When all the medicines are used together, the upper and lower parts are relieved, cold and dampness are removed, and the fullness is relieved. I have been able to treat many such diseases. Whenever you see the above syndromes, you will find a remedy that will work easily.
Mr. Zhang Qi used Li Dongyuan’s Zhongmanfenxiao Pills and Zhongmanfenxiao Decoction to perfection, and he cured both serious and difficult diseases. Sometimes, it is difficult for us to explain it clearly with simple thinking, but at least after reading this type of medical records, we understand that some clinical syndromes require complicated diagnosis and treatment, and it cannot be simplified even if we think about it simply. , simply, the effect is not good. The choice between the two must be slowly thought about and gradually understood in clinical practice.
Mr. Zhang Qi is also very good at using classic prescriptions, and Li Dongyuan’s prescriptions are also very good at using them.
