Shepherd's purse flower, the name of traditional Chinese medicine. It is the inflorescence of Capsella bursa-pastoris (L.) medic. of Capsella in Cruciferae. It is distributed or cultivated all over the country. It has the effects of cooling blood, stopping bleeding, clearing heat and promoting diuresis. Indications: metrorrhagia, hematuria, hematemesis, hemoptysis, epistaxis, infantile galactorrhea, dysentery, leucorrhea with red and white discharge.
