Shinyang (or Xiantao) is a city in Hubei province.

Xiantao, formerly known as Shinyang, is a city directly under the administration of Hubei Province (a county-level city under the direct jurisdiction of Hubei Province), the center of the western wing of the Wuhan City Circle, and one of the important cities of the city cluster in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, located in the central part of Hubei Province in the hinterland of the Jianghan Plain, relying on the Han River in the north and the Yangtze River in the south, and adjacent to the capital city of Wuhan in the east, and connected to Jingzhou and Yichang in the west, and at the intersection of Hubei's "two rivers" (Yangtze River and Han River) economic belt.
