1. Raphus cucullatus, or dodo, also known as Mauritius dodo, stupid dove and solitary pigeon, is a flightless bird that is only found in Mauritius Island in the Indian Ocean. Only 2 years after being discovered by human beings, this bird was completely extinct due to human hunting and the influence of human activities. It can be called one of the most famous extinct animals except dinosaurs. It is also the only extinct bird in Mauritius that has been designated as the national bird. The dodo became extinct in 1681.
2. Eurasian mink belongs to the genus Sable of Carnivora. The length of the head and body of adult male Eurasian mink is .28 ~ .43 m. The tail length is .124 ~ .19 m. The largest weight does not exceed 739 g. The length of adult female mink's head and body is .32~.4 m, and the length of tail is .12 ~ .18 m. The maximum weight is no more than 44 g. 5. Balihu, Panthera tigris balica? (Schwarz, 1912), a subspecies of Panthera, is the smallest of modern tigers, and its size is less than 1/3 of that of other tigers in the north. It is about 1.15 meters long and weighs about 1 kilograms. It lives in the tropical rain forest in northern Bali, Indonesia. It was extinct in 1937 under the killing of human beings, and now people can't appreciate this smallest tiger species.
