Why are fish skin peanuts called fish skin?
Mixed with fish skin glue. Fish-skin peanuts originated in Japan, and were called fish-skin peanuts because fish-skin glue was mixed in the powder blank of the skin cake when it was made that year. In the 1920s, Taiwan Province people living in Xiamen copied it by hand, and refined it with peanut kernel, cake powder, sugar and starch as the main raw materials. Although there is no fish skin glue, fish skin peanuts have become a common name that has been used to this day.
