What are the common species of pike?
Pike is a fierce and powerful predator. They hid motionless in the grass, waiting for other fish or ducklings to appear. Then suddenly rushed out at an amazing speed and caught the prey with a huge jaw. Common are North American pike and white spotted pike. The adult North American pike can grow to 150 cm long: the white spotted pike is distributed in the fresh water of Eurasia and America, and the full length of the adult white spotted pike can reach 1.5 m, and the female is larger than the male. The white-spotted pike's mouth is big and flat, much like a duckbill, and there are sharp teeth in it. They mainly feed on fish, but sometimes they also prey on small animals and birds.
