The scientific name of the three-eyed dinosaur shrimp, Jiapeng limulus, also known as "immortal shrimp", is the only known limulus found in China. It is a small crustacean, belonging to Branchiopoda, Branchiopoda and Crustacea. Three-eyed dinosaur shrimp is a very old small animal, which first appeared in Paleozoic Carboniferous 300 million years ago. After the extinction of the earth for three times in the century, several strains still exist and are widely distributed all over the world.

Three-eyed dinosaur shrimp is a typical benthic animal, mainly eating biological debris or catching small aquatic organisms and their larvae. Horseshoe crab's eggs have strong vitality and are not afraid of drought. Their eggs will survive for many years after the pond water and lake water dry up, and will hatch when there is water. Larvae like mussels, light brown to dark red, no tail. It's about 3-5 cm when you grow up.
