6. Skoga Falls
brief introduction
Skógafoss is located in the south of Iceland, with a height of 60 meters and a width of 25 meters. It is one of the largest and most representative waterfalls in Iceland, and its terrain is extremely convenient. The mountains on both sides of the waterfall are covered with green plants, and the cliffs on both sides surround the waterfall in the middle. The white waterfall water is just right with the surrounding green plants. This waterfall is also called "forest waterfall" or "forest waterfall".
Skógafoss was once the coastline of Iceland. It is located on a cliff near the coastline of Skógá River, but since the coastline here has retreated 5 kilometers, the highland where the cliff is located has become the dividing line between the low-lying coastal areas of Iceland and the mainland highlands.
There is a path on the right side of the waterfall. Climbing to the top, visitors can look back at the whole coastline and witness the spectacular sight of the river flowing down the river instantly. There is a famous local folk museum at the foot of the mountain, which truly reflects the farm life of Icelanders for hundreds of years. Legend has it that there are pirate treasures buried under the waterfall, and the handle of the box is also displayed in the B&B museum, which makes the waterfall famous.
Double rainbows sometimes appear on sunny days because of a large amount of water mist. "Thor 2: Dark Land" has some scenes of Husco plus Waterfalls.

The Golden Circle Route in Iceland is a must-see route for the first trip to Iceland, which includes three famous scenic spots in Iceland:
、
and
These scenic spots are scattered on a circular highway, so they are called the golden circle of tourism.
Starting from Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland, and heading northeast, the first place to arrive is the former parliament site (Highway 36), also called Singville National Park. In 930 AD, early Icelandic immigrants held the first national "People's Congress" here, and established the world's earliest democratically elected parliament and the first Icelandic Constitution. The scenery here is beautiful. The two plates of Europe, Asia and America moved to form a fractured valley with a drop of more than ten meters. The ancient volcanic movement tore the ground and shocked every visitor who stepped on it.
Then there is the Grand Geyser (Highway 35), which can reach more than 30 meters when it erupts. After the visit, there is a cafeteria in this parking lot, which can solve lunch.
After that, drive to the northeast for 20 minutes, and you will arrive at Golden Waterfall (Highway 35), also known as Jude Waterfall. The water droplets splashed by the pouring waterfall diffuse and form a rainbow under the sunlight, as if the whole waterfall was forged with gold, hence the name.
After visiting the waterfall, the golden circle tour is over. Iceland usually gets dark after 9 o'clock in summer, so you can go back to the city for dinner.
