Where does Saussurea involucrata grow?
Saussurea involucrata, also known as Saussurea involucrata, Saussurea involucrata, Saussurea involucrata, etc., is a precious medicinal material on the Tianshan Mountains in Xinjiang, which mainly grows on the steep cliffs about 4000 meters above sea level. Most of the gravel and ice-stained rock crevices near the mountain slope and snow line are produced in Tianshan Mountain and its adjacent areas in Xinjiang, China. The local Uyghur language calls Tianshan Snow Lotus "Tagelis". Herdsmen living near Tianshan Mountain call the snow lotus distributed in a stone crevice of about 2,500 meters "Shi Lian", while the snow lotus near the snow line of more than 3,000 meters is called the real snow lotus. Its plants are generally as high as 15 cm -50 cm, and the whole plant has fragrance when it is young. Its stem is thick and thick, and there are fibrous residual leaf bases at the base. The leaves are densely clustered, nearly leathery, the stems and leaves are tiled, round or oblanceolate, oblong, sessile and serrated. 10-20 flower heads, the aggregated stems are spherical, and more than ten large membranous bracts are wrapped. The bracts are slightly transparent, yellowish green, and shaped like petals. When in full bloom, they are like big lotus flowers, hence the name saussurea involucrata. Flowers have a very special and strong fragrance. It blooms in July-August and bears fruit in September.
