1. Generally, crabs without ropes need to be steamed in cold water.

2. If the hairy crabs are not tied up and hot water is put into the pot, the crabs may struggle violently during the steaming process. As a result, the legs of the hairy crabs may fall off, and the steamed crabs may not taste good. Good; or first pierce the head of the hairy crab with a metal needle or a long bamboo skewer, kill the hairy crab before steaming it, so if the hairy crab without a rope is steamed alive, it is usually steamed in a pot under cold water.
