Bitter almond oil is an essential oil, and its main component is benzaldehyde. Often used in medicine. It is also used to prepare food and beverage spices (excluding hydrocyanic acid). Benzaldehyde obtained by synthetic method is called artificial bitter almond oil, sometimes called bitter almond oil. Benzaldehyde can be used to make lauraldehyde, lauric acid, phenylacetaldehyde and benzyl benzoate, and can also be used as perfume.
