1. Texture: The texture of Hainan Huanghuali is twill or staggered, and the texture is varied, like flowing clouds, giving people a soft and quiet feeling. Or there are varied "grimaces", which are caused by scars in the growth process. Unlike ordinary trees, their scars are irregular, so people call them "grimaces" or "phoenix eyes" gracefully, but it can't be said that all yellow flowers and limu have grimaces.
2. color: the color of Hainan Huanghuali is yellow at first, but gradually deepens over time, showing purple and brown red color, but it is always difficult to hide that golden color, which is faintly revealed in the rings of years.
3. weight and feel: weigh it by hand, the texture is solid and quite weighty. Because it is oily, it sinks when it enters the water. Tentacles are as warm as jade.
4. Smell: If conditions permit, you can scrape off a small piece of Huanghuali and smell a slight fragrance.
5. Color of smoke and ash: When conditions permit, a small piece of huanghuali is sawed out and burned, black smoke will be found straight up, but the burned ash is white, which is also because Huanghuali is oily. When burning, the fragrance of Huanghuali is very rich, but it is not as sour as ordinary wood. Once you smell this fragrance, you will remember it deeply. The scientific name is Dalbergia odorifera and fragrant wood. The Latin name is Dalbergia Odorifera T. Chen, and the trade name is scentedrosewood Huanghua Pear, which is the best wood for making mahogany furniture, and there are few existing ones in the market. What we can usually see are mostly huanghuali produced in Vietnam. Because Vietnam and Hainan are geographically close, and basically at the same latitude, Vietnamese huanghuali is very similar to Hainan huanghuali, especially the wood produced in the east of Vietnam and across the sea from Hainan. How to identify two kinds of wood can be referred to the following five points:
1. Relatively speaking, the texture of Hainan huanghuali (brown eyes) is fine, while that of Vietnam huanghuali is thicker.
second, Hainan huanghuali has a larger flavor, which is called Dalbergia odorifera, while Vietnamese huanghuali has a slightly smaller flavor.
third, Hainan huanghuali has good texture and many grimaces, which is called tiger skin texture, while Vietnam huanghuali is relatively poor.
Fourth, there are differences in color. Hainan huanghuali is darker and Vietnam huanghuali is lighter.
