If you'd rather have crispy cauliflower, don't blanch it. If you love to eat hot cooked, blanch it.
Cauliflower peanuts are fine to eat, not poisonous.
However, cauliflower absorbs pesticides easily (because it has no skin), so soak it in more water. If you use 84 disinfectant, rinse it a few more times. In the event that it is too late to soak, or if 84 was used, blanching is recommended. This is not from a taste point of view, but from a safety point of view.
