Then why does the smell of mom make college students forget? I think it's because mom's cooking is particularly delicious. College students are far away from their hometown and have a special friendship with their hometown. In this regard, I have the following views:
First, my mother's cooking is very tasty. My mother cooks home-cooked dishes. Every mother has her own unique skills in cooking, pursuing health in dishes, which is different from the big pot rice in the cafeteria outside the restaurant. There are memories of students' childhood in this smell, which is why college students are obsessed with her smell.
Second, college students are far away from home. Many students left their hometown for the first time when they were in college. They came to a strange city. They are not used to local food, not only physically, but also psychologically. What students need to overcome are physical and psychological difficulties.
Third, I have a special friendship with my hometown. This is a challenge and of special significance for students who leave their hometown for the first time. Students feel homesick when they are away from home. The mother's taste window held in the school canteen is a rare antidote for students to ease their homesickness, which makes them forget it for a long time.
When children grow up, they will leave their hometown to pursue their dreams, but their friendship with their hometown will not change, and their yearning for their mother will last forever. I hope the children can go home often and eat more meals cooked by their mothers.
