The poor don't eat (eat) food (food)
During the Warring States period, the vassal states fought against each other, and the common people could not have peace. If natural disasters were added, the common people could not live. This year, there was a severe drought in Qi, and it didn't rain for three months in a row. The fields cracked and all the crops died. The poor people ate the leaves and bark, and the grass seedlings ate the grass roots, and they were all starving to death. But the granaries of the rich people's homes are full, and they still eat spicy food.
There was a rich man named Qian Ao who gloated when he watched the poor people stagger with hunger. He wanted to take out some food for the victims, but he put on a savior's shelf. He put the prepared steamed buns on the side of the road and gave them to the hungry people in the past. Whenever a hungry man comes, Qian Ao throws a wowotou in the past and proudly cries, "Beggars, give it to you!" " Sometimes, when a group of people came, Qian Ao threw out several steamed buns for the hungry people to compete with each other. Qian Ao looked at them with ridicule and was very happy. He felt that he was really a living bodhisattva.
At this moment, a scrawny hungry man came by, only to see him with disheveled hair and ragged clothes. He tied a pair of tattered shoes to his feet with a straw rope. He covered his face with his ragged sleeves and staggered along. Because he hadn't eaten for several days, he couldn't support his body and walked a little stagger.
when Qian ao saw the hungry man's appearance, he specially took two steamed buns and filled a bowl of soup. He shouted at the hungry man, "Hey, come and eat!" The hungry people ignored him as if they didn't hear him. Qian Ao called again, "Hey (Ji), did you hear that? Give you something to eat! " I saw that the hungry man suddenly perked up, stared at Qian Ao and said, "Put away your things, I'd rather starve to death than eat such delicious food!" "
Qian ao never expected that such a rickety hungry person still maintained his personal dignity, and suddenly he was ashamed and speechless.
originally, you should be sincere in helping others and don't pretend to be a savior. Help in good faith is acceptable; However, in the face of "unexpected food", it is the spirit of the hungry man with backbone that deserves our praise.
