Interview with world memory champion vegan is the smartest.
At the age of 23, JonasVonEssen from Sweden has just become the World Memory Champion. He recorded a whole deck of playing cards in less than a minute and accurately recalled thousands of numbers, which set the highest score in the history of the competition. Every time he eats, he doesn't forget to think of animals-yes, John is a vegan. This proves that a plant-based diet is not only the most compassionate, but also the smartest!

John answered the following questions about his compassionate vegetarian diet:

Why did you decide to be a vegan?

It's simple, because I don't want other creatures to be tortured and killed. Unfortunately, my dull head lived on this planet for 20 years before I decided to be an egg milk vegetarian rationally, and it took me another year and a half to understand that vegan is the way to go if I don't want to cause animals to be tortured.

Are there any books, bands, celebrities or athletes that have influenced or inspired you to become a vegan?

Steph Davis, an American mountaineer, glider pilot and a vegetarian, is an inspiration to me. When I changed from an egg-milk vegetarian to a vegan, I read one of her books, Learning to Fly (that's when I started skydiving). She is not the person who led me to make this decision, but because of her, I feel that this decision is easier to make.

What food do you like best?

I like Asian food very much, such as fried tofu with a lot of spices. I also like to make things instead of cheese, such as lasagna with Italian vegetarian cheese and all kinds of pasta with nuts and herbs.

What benefits did you feel after you started eating vegan food?

Perhaps the biggest benefit is that I feel that I am doing something to make the world better (or stop doing things that make the world worse). Looking back on the results of my memory training, I can only say that since I took a vegan diet, I have won six of the seven world-class competitions, the latest of which is that I got the highest score in the history of the World Memory Championship (which means higher than all other carnivores! )。

What advice do you have for people who want to help animals but don't know where to start?

Start vegan! I think the easiest way to make things better is to be vegan. You are not only preventing animals from being harmed, but also minimizing your impact on the environment. It's much easier than you think! I feel that vegetarianism is not a sacrifice at all, because what I eat now is better than when I used to eat meat. Who knows-a vegan diet may give you the best memory in the world!
