1. If the barbecue skewers are rusty, put the skewers in warm water at about 40 degrees. Add detergent and wipe the iron skewer with a steel wool ball until all the oil, dirt and meat foam on the iron skewer are removed.
2. Put the cleaned iron pick into another basin of clean water and wipe it with a clean dishcloth. After it is completely cleaned, apply cooking oil and keep it sealed. You can wrap it in a plastic bag to prevent rust.
