Guangken (Maoming) National Tropical Agricultural Park was founded in 2002. It is the first national AAAA scenic spot in Guangdong Agricultural Reclamation and the first national AAAA scenic spot in Huazhou. In 20 18, the park was rated as "Guangdong popular science education base". The park is located in Huazhou City, Maoming City, Guangdong Province. Backed by the towering fire, the highest peak in the south of Huahua, it is surrounded by the sparkling Liu Zhu Reservoir, surrounded by mountains and waters, covering an area of about 5,000 mu. The park is divided into five sections: central area, popular science experience area, theme agricultural park, theme hotel area and amusement area. It is a national agricultural theme park directly under the Ministry of Agriculture and invested by Guangdong Agricultural Reclamation Bureau. Here is the world of flowers and the ocean of green plants: the scenic spots in the Central Sightseeing Area include Flower Sea, Tropical Agriculture Exhibition Hall, Rubber Theater, Mobile Square, Fruit Grand View Garden, Kandelia Square, Wild Peony Garden, Rhododendron Garden and Egg Garden. There are nearly 200 kinds of tropical and subtropical rare fruits here, which are rare and exotic trees with a hundred years old. Walking into the central tourist area, you can see all the flowers and fruits in the four seasons. The wonders of modern agriculture are gathered here: the popular science experience area organically integrates planting display and landscape design through modern greenhouse cultivation technology, respectively taking agricultural elements such as vegetables, melons and fruits, and southern medicines as themes, and through highly integrated innovation of science and technology, it creates three theme landscapes, namely "the story of vegetables", "the years of melons" and "the secret land of Cao Ling", which fully embodies the interest, knowledge and technology of modern agriculture. Different agricultural landscapes and various modern agricultural planting techniques are interpreted and displayed from a new perspective, providing people with a leisure agricultural place that can be visited, watched, experienced and interacted.
There are many exotic fruits and tropical fruits here: theme agricultural parks include Guava Garden, Yangtaoyuan Garden, Green Jujube Garden, Jackfruit Garden, Longan Garden, Litchi Garden, Dragon Orchard and other attractions. It is not only the national demonstration area of standardized fruit planting, but also the national organic product production base and the first batch of agricultural product quality traceability construction units of the Ministry of Agriculture.
