Cast iron pot is cooked iron or pig iron
Cast iron pot belongs to pig iron.
Iron pots and pans can be categorized into two types according to the material: pig iron pots and cooked iron pots and pans.
The pig iron pot is made of gray iron mouth melting casting, with thick, slow and even heat transfer characteristics, heat preservation and long-lasting.
Cooked iron pot is made of black iron forging or pounding, pot body is thin, fast heat transfer, exquisite appearance.
Cast iron pans use pig iron. During the manufacturing process of cast iron pans, pig iron is melted into a model and poured, resulting in a thicker body with a rough grain. Cast iron pans have a slower heat transfer rate, but better heat transfer uniformity.
Cooked iron pots, on the other hand, are made by transferring the temperature of the fire directly to the food, using cooked iron forging or hand pounding made with a thinner body, lighter weight, faster heat transfer characteristics.
