Jane's Year 16: A First Look at Cthulhu's Call - An Introduction to the Cthulhu Mythos System

The Cthulhu Mythos is an overhead legend system based on the fictional world of American author Howard Philip Lovecraft, perfected by August William Dresser, and created by many authors***.

The founder of the Cthulhu mythos, Lowe's life was full of tragedy. When he was a child, his father had a nervous illness and hung up, and then his mother had depression and hung up. Even his best friend, Robert, the author of "Conan the Barbarian King", shot himself, so Luo finally could not withstand the successive blows, and suffered from intestinal cancer, and within two years, he followed his best friend to death. The essence of the Cthulhu myth is a mockery of mankind's inflated desire for knowledge and conquest in the industrial age, and a sense of powerlessness over the inevitable demise of civilization, and a fear of a profoundly unknowable universe

Mankind's self-confidence in itself and the power of science had grown to an unbelievable level by the beginning of the twentieth century, and the human race had developed into a world where it could not be trusted, and where it could not be trusted, and where the power of science would not be trusted. It began to think that everything could be known, everything could be conquered.

The deep, huge, and unknowable universe has been imagined by mankind as a farm that needs to be transformed and enjoyed by civilization, and mankind has lost its reverence for the world, the universe, and God.

However, with the remnants of the two world wars and the shadow of the world nuclear war under the rivalry between the United States and the Soviet Union, people feel that civilization has entered a countdown.

At this point, mankind realized that they had already mastered the power they should not have mastered, the progress of science and technology is the beginning of the destruction, the cornerstone of civilization is just a pile of grains of sand into the phantom, unbearable.

The only beings who can really sleep in this world are those crazy, evil, ancient dominators who need no explanation for their existence, and who symbolize destruction and chaos for no reason at all. The wisdom of the so-called civilization is not enough in front of their great stupidity and madness, and the struggle of the intelligent races is nothing but a farce in the palm of their hands.

In the Cthulhu series, we can also see that its protagonists are either insane, dead, or have their memories wiped, and then continue to live ignorantly in the world. It is the ruler of time and space, one of the Three Pillars of the Original Gods, also known as the Key of the Gate or the One Who Lives, and to Whom All Things Are One, created by Lovecraft. It is often regarded as the highest being after Azathoth, all-knowing and all-seeing, and one with all time and space. Judge Sotos resides outside of the space-time continuum and is generally considered to not exist in this universe and this dimension, nor is it bound by time and space, and is arguably second only to Azathoth. This pile of electrified soap-bubble-like stuff is all-seeing and all-knowing, and is connected to all time and space-time, so don't underestimate him and don't poke at him, or you'll explode your brain from not being able to take in the immense amount of information (which is about as merciful as it gets among the results of angering Juggernaut Sotos).

Judge Sotos is the gateway through which the Void passes again, and all time is just unique to Judge Sotos. Judge Sotos knows the labyrinth of time. Where the old dominators of the distant and long-ago Swift appear, where the old dominators of the Cycle Parade reappear, all these are known to Judge Sotos.

Also known as "Ambling Chaos", created by Lovecraft. Naiarlathotep is the earthly messenger and spokesman of the Outer Gods, and it is especially subservient to Azathoth. Unlike most of the Outer Gods and Dominators of Old, the only one who can be in this dimension without being weakened in power, and one of the very few of the Outer Gods to exhibit human-understandable rationality. Naiarlathotep was always eager to deceive and seduce humans, and took his highest delight in plunging them into terror and despair.

Nyarlathotep has many incarnations and titles, dozens of which have appeared. Nyarlathotep's most recognizable incarnation is the Night Howler, an ugly giant with a giant tentacle where his face should be. The human incarnation of Nyarlathotep is usually a dark-skinned, tall, thin man with a bright smile. Other incarnations include the "Black Pharaoh", the "God without a face" and the "Night Hunter".

As we know, Cthulhu belongs to the water camp of the Old Dominion, and looks like a large octopus. However, the camp of the Dominion of the Old Days is divided into four factions, among which Earth and Fire, Water and Wind, are all hostile camps. When faced with the expulsion of the Ancient Gods, they will unite and **** together to fight against the Ancient Gods; at other times that's the kind of life and death enemies, who see each other red in the eyes. In fact, strictly speaking, Asatos and the three pillars of the original gods also belong to one of the external gods, however, they are much more powerful than the unusual external gods.

Outer gods essentially belong to the Old Day Dominators. But the powers of the Old Sun Dominators are far behind compared to the Outer Gods.
