Ingredients needed to make rose water: 50 grams of dried roses (it is packed in 50-gram packages when you buy it, so there is no need to weigh it); appropriate amount of rock sugar; 1000 ml of water. I add rock sugar at will, but white sugar is also acceptable. If you add more sugar, it will become thicker.

First boil the water in a small pot.

After the water boils, pour in the dried roses. After boiling the pot again, turn to low or medium-low heat (as long as the pot is kept boiling), cook until the roses turn white (actually, they still have a faint, light pink), take out the roses and throw them away. If you are patient, you can remove the peduncle. I am lazy, so I just cook it like this~ If you think it would be a pity to throw the roses away after boiling them only once, you can filter out the water and add the remaining roses in the pot. Boil the water for 1-2 times, finally filter out the roses, pour the 2 or 3 times of water into a pot, add sugar and continue cooking. Note: If it is for external use, such as washing your face and applying it on your face, don’t add sugar!

Pour rock sugar (or white sugar) into the remaining soup in the pot, and continue to simmer over low heat. While simmering, use a small spoon to make circles against the bottom of the pot until the rock sugar melts and the soup is slightly thick. Turn off the heat.

Let it cool, then bottle it and put it in the refrigerator. It’s pretty good to have a cup every day. I didn't make it that thick, it has a slightly honeyy feel. If you want it to be thicker, increase the rock sugar and cooking time, and reduce the water appropriately.

When drinking, take two spoons and mix it with water. No need to add honey or anything else. I just don’t know if the roses have been left for a long time. Compared with the rose vinegar I made last winter, the color of the rose vinegar this time is really ugly. It’s yellowish but not wine red. It’s homemade~
