1, find a hole. Most cicadas live 30~50 cm under the soil. In order to be unearthed and shelled on time at night, they will dig holes in advance. You can catch golden cicadas through these holes before dark. This kind of hole is small and thin. When you touch the hole soil with your finger, it will fall down, revealing a relatively large hole. If you put your finger in, you will touch the cicada.
2. dig a nest. Each egg branch on the tree contains 100~200 cicada eggs on average, but only 100 ~ 30 cicada eggs can grow in the end. Because they are on the same egg branch, they will basically be buried in the same place. In addition, the golden cicada has a small range of activities in the soil, so we can dig out the whole nest with a cicada hole.
3. flashlight. After dark, it is also the most common way to shine a flashlight on the tree and catch the golden cicada that has been on the tree. The brightness of the flashlight is not very important, but it must be concentrated. We should illuminate according to the laws from near to far, from bottom to top, from positive to negative, and our eyes should follow every tree and every treetop.
4. magnetic tape. Wrap a tape around the tree. Because the tape is smooth, the golden cicada can't climb on it, so we can wait and see.
